You will be flying today to the city of Nepalganj, which is located in the western Terai, not far from the border with India, and serves as a gateway to the western part of Nepal.

You will begin your journey to Phoksundo Lake today with a flight to Juphal, which is located at an altitude of 2,500 meters. The path heads in a southeasterly direction up the valley of Thulo Bheri and then winds its way through the maize fields to the village of Kalagaunda. Follow the south bank of the Bheri River until you reach Dunai at an altitude of 2145 meters. Along the way, you will see a traditional water mill called Roop Ghar

Take the streets of Dunai until you reach the Bheri River Bridge, and then cross it. After arriving in Sulighat, continue down the northern riverside toward Sulighat and then turn north to reach the check-out point for Shey Phoksundo National Park. The stony path leads you up the Serpentine River from Suli Ghad to Kageni via hemp trees and then into the tropical forest of walnuts and maples, which is where you will start to witness glimpses of the Tibetan way of life. Take in the scenery of fluttering prayer flags, waterfalls, and lush foliage on the journey to Shyanth village, which is located at an elevation of 8268 feet. After another hour and a half of walking along the winding path, you will reach the settlement of Chhepka, which is at an eleva tion of 2,660 meters

First thing in the morning, stroll along the Jharana waterfall through a grove of cedar trees, then the path leads hikers to a winter settle ment. After passing through some open fields, the path leads to the Jharana hotel, which is located at an elevation of 3,370 meters and serves as our overnight destination. You will be rewarded for your efforts with the best possible view of Phoksundo Lake after getting an up-close look at the breathtaking Jharana Waterfall, which is one of the highest in Nepal at 330 meters.

Birch trees will surround you as you make your way up to the top of the Phoksundo River on the way to Ringmo, which is located at an elevation of 3460 meters. Keep going north along the trail until you reach the ranger station at Phoksundo Lake. You will make your way towards the Tibetan Bons town of Ringmo, which is located in the yak-filled meadows, and you will spend the night there.

You are going to spend the day traveling around the area that is home to the beautiful Phoksundo Lake. Prior to continuing on to Tshowa Gompa, a 900-year-old monastery in Bon located on a slope above the lake, you should stop in the village of Ringmo. It is believed by Buddhists and followers of the Bonpo religion that the Phoksundo Lake contains both an underwater palace and a tantric spirit mandala. Because of this, the lake is revered as a holy site. The lake is well-known for the strikingly beautiful scenery that surrounds it as well as its signature turquoise color. The region surrounding and above the lake is home to a large number of stun ning glaciers.

Today, you should make your way back to Chhepka. From the lake, follow the river upstream until you reach Sulighat. Before arriving in Chhepka at an elevation of 2600 meters, you have to travel through the community of Renji as well as the forests of fires and larches that run alongside the Sulighat River.
